Our Mission

To help young athletes aged 8 - 14 years build strong, resilient, coordinated bodies through age - appropriate strength, conditioning, and movement training - rooted in science and inspired by elite athletic preparation.

Whether your child is an aspiring athlete or simply needs support to move better, feel fitter, and stay injury - free, our science - led approach prepares them for sport, activity and future gym training.

Why This Matters

 

Many children today train hard in sport but don’t learn the basics of movement or safe training.


This can lead to:

  • Injuries

  • Burnout

  • Poor coordination

  • Missing important long-term skills

Our programme focuses on building the foundations first — so children can enjoy sport, stay healthy, and grow stronger with confidence.

What We Teach

Our sessions include:

  • How to move well: squat, jump, land, run, push and pull safely

  • Strength training designed for growing bodies

  • Mobility and flexibility

  • Injury-prevention exercises

  • Learning why training and recovery are important

  • Fun, confidence-building challenges

Core Motion is led by an ex-semi-professional rugby union and league player, IronMan triathlete, qualified sports scientist, Youth Strength and Conditioning Coach / Assessor and PE teacher with over 22 years of experience working with young people.

Our training facility located at Pysica Studio, Bridgend Industrial Estate, is designed to provide a safe and inspiring space for youth to engage in effective and enjoyable strength and conditioning programs.
